Where antelope hunt area 100 begins and ends

WGFD's 2026 Chapter 5 walks the line around antelope hunt area 100 corner by corner. It starts where Interstate Highway 80 crosses the Wyoming-Utah state line. On the way round it follows Interstate Highway 80, Wyoming Highway 89, U.S. Highway 30 and U.S. Highway 189. Read it as the legal edge of your license rather than as a hint about animals. The full text is in Section 5 of that chapter, with this year's season dates and license limitations in Section 2.

Not the same ground as the other hunt area 100s

WGFD numbers each species' hunt areas on its own grid, so the number 100 also belongs to its elk and deer hunt areas 100. None of them shares a county with this one. A license is good only in the hunt area of its own species, so this page is about the antelope area, and the cards at the foot of the page link the others.

Ground WGFD opens: Bear River Divide and Uinta 11- Archery Only

Its Access Yes program enrolls a Hunter Management Area here that list antelope among their species — Bear River Divide (229,721 acres). WGFD also lists one Walk-In Area covering about 105 acres open for antelope: Uinta 11- Archery Only. WGFD's 2026 regulations open Access Yes land only for the species and dates listed for each area, with each area's own rules on WGFD's site and no motorized travel unless WGFD says otherwise. Public Access Areas such as Bear River (120 acres) and Woodruff Narrows (16 acres) are public ways onto water and land; check what each allows before you count on it for hunting.

High ground inside the line: Medicine Butte, Elk Mountain and Bridger Hill

Named high points inside antelope hunt area 100 include Medicine Butte at 8,610 feet, Elk Mountain at 8,233 feet, Bridger Hill at 8,201 feet, Bear River Divide at 8,157 feet and South Sheep Mountain at 8,157 feet. Several carry a public-land flag in our data, which makes them the first places to try for a view. Pronghorn stay on the open rolling ground and leave the timber alone.

Holding ground: Thistle Hollow, Long Hollow and Robinson Hollow

Below them sit Thistle Hollow at 6,997 feet, Long Hollow at 6,880 feet, Robinson Hollow at 6,827 feet, Session Pass at 6,793 feet and Limekiln Gulch at 6,783 feet. Those are the basins and bottoms of the area, and they are what you glass into from above.

Water: Foote Spring, Crompton Spring and Wild Horse Spring

Named water inside the line includes Foote Spring, Crompton Spring, Wild Horse Spring, Section 2 Spring, Grove Spring and Ollie Spring. Nothing in the data says which of it runs in autumn, so a scouting trip earns its fuel.

Wyoming Game and Fish's 2026 demand report for pronghorn in antelope hunt area 100, residents and nonresidents kept apart because they draw from different license pools:

  • Type 1 (any antelope), residents: 424 first-choice applicants for 78 licenses, 18.4% drawn
  • Type 1 (any antelope), nonresidents: 175 first-choice applicants for 2 licenses, 1.1% drawn

Wyoming residents draw pronghorn licenses without preference points; nonresidents draw part of their quota on points, highest balance first (Chapter 44, Section 19), and the nonresident figures above are from WGFD's random draw. WGFD publishes no preference-point level at which a hunt draws, so none is given here. Every figure was checked against WGFD's demand-report PDFs on 2026-08-10.
