Unit 012 - 014 (Granite Range, Boulder Mountain and the Table Lakes)
Nevada Hunting Guide — Pronghorn
Units 012 - 014 cover about 2,185 square miles of remote Washoe and Humboldt counties between Gerlach and Cedarville. NDOW says water and forage limit pronghorn in August, so the animals use the upper plateaus and uplands that offer both, from Donnelly Creek to the Table Lakes and the toe slopes of Fox Mountain.

Where to Find Pronghorn in Units 012 - 014: Donnelly Creek, the Table Lakes and Fox Mountain
Upper plateaus with water and forage
Water and forage are the main limits on antelope in August, and NDOW expects most upper-elevation plateaus and upland sites that offer both to hold antelope. Places with more water usually hold more animals. Where the country is dry, antelope use the high ridges and plateaus to stay cool through the summer, as long as they can still reach water.
Donnelly Creek, the Table Lakes and Negro Creek
In Unit 012, hunt Donnelly Creek, Willow Creek, Black Buttes to Buck Spring, Grassy Canyon and Mahogany Mountain. In Unit 013, the sheet lists the Table Lakes, Boulder Flat, the toe slopes of Boulder Mountain, and Cherry Mountain east to take in Clover Creek, Cottonwood Creek and Jim's Creek. In Unit 014, look at the toe slopes of Fox Mountain, Lone Juniper Spring, Crutcher Canyon, Rocky Basin, the east side of Wagon Tire Mountain, Cottonwood Creek and all three forks of Negro Creek.
That's a long list for a big area. Start with the spots that have dependable water during your season, since NDOW ties antelope numbers so closely to it, and work outward to the drier ground only after those are covered.
The ground NDOW draws for this tag
A pronghorn tag for this group is good in units 012, 013 and 014, about 2,185 square miles measured on NDOW's own boundary, in Washoe County and Humboldt County. The named ranges inside the line are Lost Creek Hills, Calico Hills, Division Range, Home Camp Range, Granite Range and Hays Canyon Range. The highest named points are Granite Mountain (8,979 ft), Granite Peak (8,964 ft) and Donnelly Peak (8,525 ft), and the lowest named ground sits near 3,990 feet. We don't print a land-status split for Nevada groups, because the figures we held didn't come from BLM's surface-management data; check BLM's current map for private parcels before you cross a fence or a cattle guard. GNIS names 182 springs inside it, Butte Spring, Gerlach Spring, Lone Juniper Spring and Lone Spring among them.
