Unit 202, 204 (Wassuk Range and the Pine Grove Hills)
Nevada Hunting Guide — Pronghorn
Units 202, 204 cover about 1,340 square miles of Mineral, Lyon and Mono counties, taking in the Wassuk Range and the Pine Grove Hills. NDOW's pronghorn sheet describes a migratory herd, the Walker-Mono Interstate antelope, that summers in the Bodie Hills and winters on the western slope of the Wassuk Range. The roads are many, but plenty of them are rough.

Where to Find Pronghorn in Units 202, 204: Baldwin Canyon, Rough Creek and Aldridge Grade
From the Bodie Hills to the Wassuk Range
This group's pronghorn move with the seasons. NDOW says the Walker-Mono Interstate antelope herd spends summer in the higher elevations of the Bodie Hills, then migrates down and winters on the western slope of the Wassuk Range. The sheet gives no dates for that move, so read it against the season you hold. The muzzleloader hunt falls in mid-August, and the any-legal-weapon hunt runs in the second half of October. Where the herd sits on those dates is something to learn while scouting.
Baldwin Canyon, Rough Creek, Aldridge Grade and Nine Mile
NDOW's recommended areas are specific. It names the lower portion of Baldwin Canyon, Rough Creek, Aldridge Grade and Nine Mile. Rough Creek appears on the list twice, so it's clearly one of the places NDOW expects pronghorn to be.
That's the whole of the where-to-hunt guidance, and it's short. It doesn't tie those places to a particular stage of the migration, and it doesn't name water sources. If you draw this tag, use the four named places as anchor points for scouting, and watch how the herd's position changes as summer turns to fall.
The ground NDOW draws for this tag
A pronghorn tag for this group is good in units 202 and 204, about 1,340 square miles measured on NDOW's own boundary, in Mineral County and Lyon County. The named ranges inside the line are Pine Grove Hills, Wassuk Range, Cambridge Hills, Gray Hills and Anchorite Hills. The highest named points are Mount Grant (11,256 ft), Cory Peak (10,503 ft) and Big Indian Mountain (10,056 ft), and the lowest named ground sits near 4,216 feet. We don't print a land-status split for Nevada groups, because the figures we held didn't come from BLM's surface-management data; check BLM's current map for private parcels before you cross a fence or a cattle guard. GNIS names 60 springs inside it, Lost Spring, Mud Spring, Pine Grove Spring and Powell Canyon Spring among them.
