Montana FWP draws unit A320 in Madison, Jefferson and Silver Bow counties with a boundary that runs on Highway 287, Route 41, Route 55 and Interstate 90, and on Noble Peak, Jefferson-Ruby Divide and Madison-Ruby Divide, walked corner by corner in its hunting district legal descriptions. That is a legal description, not a habitat map. Its value is practical — those are the features you will navigate by, and the ridges that separate one day's country from another's.

High ground inside the line: Granite Peak, Branham Peaks and Lakeshore Mountain

Mind the backdrop. A miss carries a long way across a flat.
